Filing for Public Office is Now Open

The City of Carlos will hold its General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Individuals interested in running for municipal office may file for candidacy at Carlos City Hall with the City Clerk-Treasurer during the following office hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The filing period opens Tuesday, July 14, 2026, and closes Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Completed Affidavits of Candidacy, along with the $2.00 filing fee, must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

The following offices will appear on the November 3, 2026 ballot:

• One (1) Mayor – Two-Year Term
• Two (2) Council Members – Four-Year Terms
• One (1) Council Member – Special Election to fill the remainder of a term ending January 1, 2029
